60s Fat

The 60s Fat is born from the incredible sounding 60s Vintage pickup. Specifically formulated extra coil winds create a tone with the added “push” often desired by players when driving an amp into overdriven and high gain territory. The 60s Fat retains all the characteristics of the 60s Vintage—firm lows, rich and throaty mids, sweet and airy highs—but adds a thickness in the mids for extra push and cut … all while retaining a percussive, organic, piano-like clarity and unmatched string-to-string definition. Alnico V magnets. Output: ~6.4 neck and middle, ~7.6 bridge. All Grosh pickups are wax potted and handcrafted in our shop using only the highest quality components. "When I got my Set Neck Custom, I was astounded. This thing was several pounds lighter [than my LP] but had amazing sustain, and the playability is unlike anything I played. This thing murders that old LP in every category: fit and finish, sound, feel, and most importantly playability. Several months later I sold my "nice" F-branded strat and got a Retro Classic S...same experience as before! The RC is better in every way from any strat I've had my hands on.
